Denmark is rich in cultural and has a long history. There are numerous museums all around the country either, historical museums or more modern design museums. There are also some museums in the countryside, that cover aspects of local history and heritage. Admission fee to museums is usually rather low, and often free for those who have the Copenhagen Card. There is also much going on in music and arts as well in Copenhagen and there are numerous art museums and galleries are growing in number and Icelandic design is becoming ever more popular. Music plays a big part in the cultural lives of Icelanders; the Icelandic symphony orchestra as well as the Icelandic Opera are notable for ambitious work in this small community.
